What Recall does
You talk. The app writes down what you said.
Then it can turn your words into tidy notes, a to-do list, or an email draft. You can save the result to Apple Notes.
Signing in
- Open the app.
- Tap Sign in with passkey.
- Your phone asks for Face ID, Touch ID, or your passcode. That is all.
The first time only, tap Set up a new passkey instead. The app asks for an access code. That is a six character code your helper gives you. Type it in, then tap the button again. There is no password to remember.
Recording
- Tap the big circle.
- Say what is on your mind. Pauses are fine.
- Tap the circle again when you are done.
The first time, your phone asks to use the microphone. Tap Allow.
Checking the words
The app shows what it heard. Read it over.
If a word came out wrong, tap the text and fix it. Then pick what to make.
Choosing what to make
Clean up as notes. Your words, organised and easy to read.
Make a to-do list. The tasks you mentioned, as a checklist.
Draft an email. A polished email with a subject line.
Not sure? Pick notes. You can always record again.
Saving your result
- Tap Save to Apple Notes.
- A list of apps appears. Tap Notes.
You can also tap Copy text and paste it anywhere you like.
Finding old items
Everything you make is kept in the list called Recently made. Nothing gets lost. Tap an item to see it again.
If something is not working
The sign-in button shows an error. Make sure the address in the browser starts with https. If it still fails, ask your helper to check the server.
The access code does not work. Each code works one time only. Check the letters and numbers, and if it still fails, ask your helper for a new code.
The record button does nothing. Your phone may have blocked the microphone. In Settings, open Safari and allow the microphone. Then reload the page.
Anything else. Close the browser tab, open the app again, and try once more. If it keeps happening, ask your helper.
